Hansjörg Wyss is a veteran medical device innovator who founded and ran Synthes USA which was later acquired by Johnson and Johnson for $20B.  Mr. Wyss has gone on to found the Wyss Institute at Harvard which uses biological design principles to develop new engineering innovations that will transform medicine and create a more sustainable world.
